A Walk in the Snow
Hi Everyone,
Today I have a photo post for you to view. I took these pictures yesterday afternoon--the weather was gorgeous, and the sky was a deep blue. The sky here, in New Mexico, is vast and usually a very deep turquoise blue. I'm fascinated with the sky--and have been from a young age. When I'm back in New Mexico the sky has my attention as we don't always see much blue sky in Prague during the winter.
Another of my favorites during Winter is snow. I love snow--call me crazy--I just love it. Have you ever noticed the long, blue shadows cast on the snow in the late afternoon? And the dazzling "diamonds" of newly fallen snowflakes? Snow is beautiful--and there's plenty in these pictures!
That's all for now--you all have a great day!
God bless,
Sher :0)

Hi Sher,
Love the pictures!
Don't be too critical about Prague.
Today we did have blue sky together with temperatures of about -12 degrees Celsius. And we have snow too!
Those are awesome photos! Thanks for sharing.
Wishing you a wonderful Christmas in New Mexico with your family,
Roz
It sure is beautiful. Too bad we don't see much sun here in Ohio during the winter either. I like to walk on the fresh fallen snow on the beautiful sunny (but sparse) winter days.
Have a very merry Christmas! :)
My mom and sister are in Madison,Wisconsin for my daughter's graduation. Every single day they say "I forget how Midwesterners have to live with overcast skies all of the time. Colorado is constant sunshine all the time! A privilege of the West, I guess.
Hi Chaplain,
Glad you enjoyed the pictures! :)
Well, I'm trying to not be too critical, but you must understand that I come from a part of the US where the sun shines something like 90% of the time. This is what I'm still geared to. The sunless days we have in Fall and Winter (in Prague) are kind of a change for me...I need that sunlight to keep me going! On some of the darker days I turn on lights in the room where I'm working--that helps alot! :0)
Have a great day,

Hi Roz,
Glad you enjoyed the pictures, too! And I hope you and your family also had a very wonderful and happy Christmas!
Have a great day,

Hi Ivanhoe,
Yes, me, too! Walking in the new-fallen snow, first thing in the morning...it looks as if someone has scattered billions of diamonds across the ground! Love it!
Hope you and yours had a very happy Christmas, too!
Have a great day,
Sher :0)
Hi Karen,
Yes...you're right! I've lived all of my adult life in the south west--sun all the time! So living in Prague is quite a contrast--it really reminds me very much of my childhood in Minnesota!
Have a great day,
Sher :0)
